Teeth before and after treatment – dental composite filling.

Tooth decay, also known as cavities, is when your teeth breakdown due to acids made by bacteria. If not caught soon enough, you may experience pain and difficulty with eating. If left untreated it could result in inflammation of the tissue around the tooth, tooth loss, and infection or abscess formation.

How to treat Tooth Decay

Fluoride can be an effective treatment against the sugars and acids that come through our mouth everyday. When combined with a semi-annual dental cleaning, your teeth will be stronger and healthier than ever.

We recommend that people brush twice daily, floss once a day, and visit their dentist at least every 6 months to ensure that tooth decay doesn’t gain a foothold in your mouth. If you feel that you may be experiencing the beginning symptoms of a tooth cavity forming, then please schedule an appointment with a dentist.
